Before you decide where you’re going next, it helps to know where you are.

The Year-End Compass is a five-week guided journey for consciously completing the year before rushing into the next one.For many of us, this isn’t simply about turning the calendar. Something has changed. What worked before may no longer fit. A role, relationship, way of working, dream, or direction may have run its course. You may find yourself needing to rethink, reimagine, or reinvent what comes next.

But there is another question we rarely ask:

What is actually mine to carry forward?

Sometimes we keep pushing because we have invested years of ourselves into something. We assume that because we began it, built it, or cared for it, we must keep carrying it. But there is a difference between pushing something forward and stewarding what is truly ours to tend. The end of the year gives us a natural place to notice that difference.Rather than beginning with resolutions, goals, or another list of things to accomplish, we’ll pause long enough to take our bearings. What changed? What grew? What contracted? What surprised you? What ended? What are you still carrying simply because you haven’t stopped long enough to ask whether it still belongs to you?Together, we’ll harvest the wisdom of the year, explore what needs to be completed or consciously released, and listen for what is genuinely ours to steward next.

Five Weeks to Find Your Bearings

Over five weeks, we’ll move through Take Your Bearings, Harvest, Complete & Release, Reorient, and Cross the Threshold. Each session combines practical teaching, reflection, guided practices, and tools you can return to whenever life asks you to find your way again. This isn’t about squeezing more into the final weeks of the calendar.

It’s about carrying less of the wrong things forward.

By the end of our time together, you may not have every answer. But you’ll have a clearer sense of where you stand, what deserves your energy, what you’re ready to leave behind, what is yours to steward, and what direction is beginning to call you forward. You don’t need to know exactly where you’re going.

That’s what the compass is for.

What You’ll Experience

What you'll discover

1

Take Your Bearings

Orient to where you actually are right now, before deciding where to go next.

2

Harvest

Gather what this year grew in you, including the parts that didn’t look like accomplishments.

3

Complete & Release

Name what’s finished, and set down what you don’t need to carry forward.

4

Reorient

With a clearer picture of the year behind you, sense the direction you’re actually facing.

5

Cross the Threshold

Step into the next year deliberately, compass in hand instead of a map you haven’t drawn yet.

IS THIS for you?

What you'll discover

This Circle Is for You If...

  • You want to close out the year with intention instead of just relief
  • This year held real change, growth, or difficulty you haven’t had time to process
  • You’d rather find your direction than force a resolution

This circle is Not For You If

  • You want a goal-setting or productivity system.
  • You need the year to be measured by what you accomplished.
  • You’re looking for a process that assumes everything went according to plan.
  • You want to rush past what happened and focus only on what’s next.
  • You’re looking for someone else to tell you what your next chapter should be.

Questions from the Circle

Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience with shamanism or WindWork®?

Not at all. The Year-End Compass is designed for anyone who wants to bring greater awareness and intention to completing the year. If you already know my work, you’ll recognize some familiar threads, but no previous experience is necessary.

What if I can’t attend the live sessions?

All sessions will be recorded and added to the WindWork learning space. You can watch them on your own schedule or return to a session whenever you need it.

How long will I have access to the course?

You’ll have access to the complete program, including recordings and course materials, for one full year. I encourage you to return to the practices throughout the seasons, especially when you find yourself needing to take your bearings again.

Is this a goal-setting course?

Not exactly. We may talk about goals, but we begin somewhere deeper. Before deciding what you want to accomplish, we’ll look at where you are, what has changed, what you’ve learned, and what you’re ready to leave behind. Direction comes before destination.

What will we do during the five weeks?

We’ll move through five stages: Take Your Bearings, Harvest, Complete & Release, Reorient, and Cross the Threshold. Each week includes teaching, reflection, guided practices, and practical ways to bring the work into your everyday life.

What if this has been a difficult or disappointing year?

You don’t need to arrive with a list of accomplishments. Harvesting a year isn’t about deciding whether it was “good” or “bad.” Sometimes the greatest wisdom comes from what didn’t happen, what ended, or what asked us to change direction.

Do I need to know what I want for next year?

No. In fact, please don’t worry if you don’t. The purpose of the course is not to arrive with the answers. We’ll create enough space to notice what direction is beginning to call you.

How much time should I plan for between sessions?

The practices are designed to fit into real life. Give yourself some quiet time each week for reflection and the exercises, but this is not a course with piles of homework. The intention is to create clarity, not another obligation.

Can I take The Year-End Compass again next year?

Absolutely. We are never standing in exactly the same place twice. The questions may remain useful year after year, but your answers, circumstances, and direction will continue to change.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a journal or notebook, something to write with, and a willingness to be curious about where you actually are. You don’t need to have anything figured out.

One Last Word

You don't need the map

You’re learning to use the compass. Join The Year-End Compass and finish this year with your bearings, not just your resolutions.

What Others Are Saying

Dominique

“I was present the other day in your solstice ceremony and loved it!”

Ellen

“Today’s session helped me connect with my deep & calm core.”

Margaret

“Looking forward to next month. Even when it’s challenging for me, deepening my own inner work through these monthly circles is so worth it.”

Judy R

“i am amazed how far you have come since i first met you some years ago (is it around 5 now?). you really have connected with the core of the wind shamanism you brought back to life then and are flying with it now! so much inspiration.”

Sandra S

“I've loved the ones I've been able to do. I've longed for real time connection with fellow seekers. Thank you so much for holding these virtual gatherings in which we can share.  ”

Wachian W

“While working outside, surrounded by woods, I was trying to locate a water leak in the lines supplying our camps. I stopped in an open area because I thought I heard running water. As I followed the sound and the energy, I noticed the leaves of one tree moving in the wind, even though none of the other trees were moving. The sound of the leaves and the running water seemed to become one. I followed it up the dirt road toward the tree. As I got closer, the sound grew louder. When I reached the tree, the wind slowed, and just behind the neighboring cottage was the water leak. The wind and the tree had led me directly to it. From my heart, I thanked them both. Thank you, Renee, for introducing me to this remarkable way of working with the wind. WindWork® has become a meaningful addition to my work as a shamanic practitioner.”.”

Amanda x

“The journey was deeply helpful. I am healing something around what it means to be a woman in relationship, and the wind brought me a clear teaching. I am very glad I attended the class and had the opportunity to meet Renee. I also read Winds of Spirit and enjoyed it very much. I know I will continue working with the wind. Just last week, the wind blew through my house while I was speaking with a neighbor, slamming the door behind me and locking me out. It happened twice in two days, although nothing like it had occurred in all the decades I have lived here. I feel certain the winds are speaking to me. Renee does wonderful work.”

Not What I Expected, but Exactly What I Needed

“I had never worked with the winds before, and this was the first live online class in which I had participated. I appreciated the honesty of the discussion, the real emotion, and the respect held within the group. The journey gave me an opportunity to revisit parts of myself I had neglected. I had been swept away by the constant onslaught of news, politics, war, and environmental crisis, and had lost contact with my core and my spiritual practice. Through the North Wind, I rediscovered my freedom. In Greek, the root of the word for freedom, eleftheria, carries the meaning of going and moving. The wind helped me reconnect with movement as part of my ancestral truth and reminded me that travel expands both the mind and the heart. I left the class feeling more connected to myself, my roots, and the wisdom I carry.”

Carmen P

“After just a month of Wind Work I was able to make a life changing decision that I had been dreading for years... the wind just took me on a spin and I never looked back. Since that first leap I feel a peace and rest, my life will unfold with the help of the winds. I am in awe how strong this work is, in awe with what Renee and her assistants can teach by example. Trusting the winds to guide me through calm and stormy times"  ”

Raven Keyes

“Thank you for bringing the Wind Work into the world. I know how much courage it takes to be a trailblazer, and I celebrate you! Honestly, Renee, this work is sooooo challenging for me, but it’s worth every bit of effort. I love it! I feel like the sorcerer’s apprentice, and that is just thrilling! 💫⚡️”
