The Gifts We Didn’t Expect

A Gratitude Journey Circle

Sunday, November 22, 2026 9:00–10:30 AM Pacific | Live Online Monthly WindWork® Journey Circle with Renee Baribeau

What if gratitude isn’t about being thankful for everything, but recognizing what has sustained us?

As we approach the end of another year, gratitude often becomes a list of things we appreciate. But some of life’s most meaningful gifts don’t arrive wrapped in happiness or success. They may come through an unexpected friendship, a change of direction, a quiet act of kindness, or the discovery of strength we didn’t know we possessed. And some experiences remain difficult. We don’t have to call them blessings to acknowledge what helped us through them.In this November Journey Circle, we’ll explore gratitude as a practice of noticing, receiving, and recognizing the exchanges that sustain our lives.Through teaching, Oracle wisdom, reflection, and a guided shamanic journey, we’ll look beyond the obvious blessings to discover what this year has given us, what we’ve given in return, and what we may have overlooked.

What to Expect

This 90-minute live Circle includes nature-based teaching, a WindWork® Oracle practice, a guided shamanic journey, personal reflection, and optional sharing.Bring a journal, something to write with, and your Wind Walker’s Wisdom Oracle if you have one. No Oracle deck or previous journey experience is required.Live online via Zoom. Recording available to registered participants.

A Question to Carry Into the Circle

What has quietly sustained me this year that I have not yet stopped to acknowledge?Gratitude is not a demand to be happy. It is an invitation to recognize the many ways life continues to support us.

What You’ll Experience

What you'll discover

1

Take Stock: What Has Sustained You?

Look beyond accomplishments and milestones to recognize the people, places, practices, and small moments that have supported you.

2

Recognize the Unexpected Gifts

Explore what arrived without being planned or requested. Sometimes what nourishes us is very different from what we thought we needed.

3

Honor What Was Difficult

Make room for grief, disappointment, and unfinished experiences without forcing gratitude onto them. Notice what helped you endure.

4

Enter the Gratitude Journey

Through a guided shamanic journey, meet the wisdom of gratitude and discover an overlooked gift, relationship, or exchange asking to be acknowledged.

5

Carry Gratitude Into Action

Consider how gratitude becomes more than a feeling. What can you appreciate, reciprocate, tend, or share as the year draws to a close?

IS THIS for you?

What you'll discover

This Circle Is for You If...

  • You’re ready to reflect on the year with honesty, without pretending every experience was a blessing.
  • You’ve experienced unexpected changes and want to recognize what has sustained you.
  • You sense there are gifts, relationships, or quiet acts of kindness you haven’t fully acknowledged.
  • You want to move beyond gratitude as a feeling and explore it as a practice of reciprocity.
  • You’re seeking a meaningful way to honor both the joys and challenges of this season.
  • You’d welcome a sacred space to pause, journey, and reconnect with what truly matters.

This circle is Not For You If

  • You’re looking for a quick gratitude exercise or a simple list of things to be thankful for.
  • You believe gratitude means finding something positive in every painful experience.
  • You’re seeking someone to interpret your journey or tell you what your experiences mean.
  • You’re uncomfortable with personal reflection, uncertainty, or allowing your own wisdom to emerge.
  • You’re looking for a lecture rather than an experiential Circle that includes journeying, reflection, and optional sharing.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is The Gifts We Didn’t Expect Gratitude Journey Circle?

Sunday, November 22, 2026, from 9:00–10:30 AM Pacific (12:00–1:30 PM Eastern). We meet live online via Zoom.

How much does it cost?

Registration is $33 and includes the live 90-minute Circle and access to the recording.

Do I need experience with shamanic journeying?

No. Beginners and experienced journeyers are welcome. Renee will guide you through the practice, and you are free to participate at your own comfort level.

Do I need the Wind Walker’s Wisdom Oracle?

No. If you own the deck, you’re welcome to bring it. We’ll explore Oracle wisdom together, but owning a deck is not required.

What if I’m having a difficult year and don’t feel particularly grateful?

You’re welcome exactly where you are. This Circle isn’t about forced positivity or finding blessings in painful experiences. We’ll explore gratitude with honesty, including recognizing what has supported us through challenging times.

What should I bring?

A journal, something to write with, and a quiet, comfortable place for your guided journey. You may also wish to bring your Oracle deck.

Will I have to share my personal experiences?

No. Sharing is always optional. You’re welcome to listen, reflect, and participate privately.

What if I can’t attend live?

Everyone who registers will receive access to the recording, so you can experience the teaching and guided journey at your convenience.

How is this different from a traditional gratitude practice?

Rather than simply listing what we’re thankful for, we’ll explore gratitude through WindWork®, Oracle wisdom, and a guided shamanic journey. We’ll consider unexpected gifts, the support we may have overlooked, and how gratitude can become an act of reciprocity.

Is this Circle part of an ongoing series?

Yes. Each Monthly WindWork® Journey Circle explores a different theme through nature-based wisdom, guided journeying, and reflection. You can attend a single Circle without committing to the entire series.

One Last Word

What If the Greatest Gifts Are the Ones We Never Expected?

As the year draws to a close, give yourself the gift of looking back with fresh eyes. Not everything that happened needs to be celebrated, but there may be unexpected kindness, quiet support, and overlooked gifts waiting to be acknowledged. Join us for a journey into gratitude that honors the whole of your experience and invites you to carry its wisdom forward. Sometimes the greatest gift is recognizing what has been there all along.

What Others Are Saying

Dominique

“I was present the other day in your solstice ceremony and loved it!”

Ellen

“Today’s session helped me connect with my deep & calm core.”

Margaret

“Looking forward to next month. Even when it’s challenging for me, deepening my own inner work through these monthly circles is so worth it.”

Judy R

“i am amazed how far you have come since i first met you some years ago (is it around 5 now?). you really have connected with the core of the wind shamanism you brought back to life then and are flying with it now! so much inspiration.”

Sandra S

“I've loved the ones I've been able to do. I've longed for real time connection with fellow seekers. Thank you so much for holding these virtual gatherings in which we can share.  ”

Wachian W

“While working outside, surrounded by woods, I was trying to locate a water leak in the lines supplying our camps. I stopped in an open area because I thought I heard running water. As I followed the sound and the energy, I noticed the leaves of one tree moving in the wind, even though none of the other trees were moving. The sound of the leaves and the running water seemed to become one. I followed it up the dirt road toward the tree. As I got closer, the sound grew louder. When I reached the tree, the wind slowed, and just behind the neighboring cottage was the water leak. The wind and the tree had led me directly to it. From my heart, I thanked them both. Thank you, Renee, for introducing me to this remarkable way of working with the wind. WindWork® has become a meaningful addition to my work as a shamanic practitioner.”.”

Amanda x

“The journey was deeply helpful. I am healing something around what it means to be a woman in relationship, and the wind brought me a clear teaching. I am very glad I attended the class and had the opportunity to meet Renee. I also read Winds of Spirit and enjoyed it very much. I know I will continue working with the wind. Just last week, the wind blew through my house while I was speaking with a neighbor, slamming the door behind me and locking me out. It happened twice in two days, although nothing like it had occurred in all the decades I have lived here. I feel certain the winds are speaking to me. Renee does wonderful work.”

Not What I Expected, but Exactly What I Needed

“I had never worked with the winds before, and this was the first live online class in which I had participated. I appreciated the honesty of the discussion, the real emotion, and the respect held within the group. The journey gave me an opportunity to revisit parts of myself I had neglected. I had been swept away by the constant onslaught of news, politics, war, and environmental crisis, and had lost contact with my core and my spiritual practice. Through the North Wind, I rediscovered my freedom. In Greek, the root of the word for freedom, eleftheria, carries the meaning of going and moving. The wind helped me reconnect with movement as part of my ancestral truth and reminded me that travel expands both the mind and the heart. I left the class feeling more connected to myself, my roots, and the wisdom I carry.”

Carmen P

“After just a month of Wind Work I was able to make a life changing decision that I had been dreading for years... the wind just took me on a spin and I never looked back. Since that first leap I feel a peace and rest, my life will unfold with the help of the winds. I am in awe how strong this work is, in awe with what Renee and her assistants can teach by example. Trusting the winds to guide me through calm and stormy times"  ”

Raven Keyes

“Thank you for bringing the Wind Work into the world. I know how much courage it takes to be a trailblazer, and I celebrate you! Honestly, Renee, this work is sooooo challenging for me, but it’s worth every bit of effort. I love it! I feel like the sorcerer’s apprentice, and that is just thrilling! 💫⚡️”
